Undeserved favor from God — freely given before you could earn it, and powerful enough to change how you live
Introduction
What if God's favor toward you never depended on what you did to deserve it — and never will? That's grace. The Greek word is charis: a gift extended not because you qualified, but because of who God is.
Most people think grace just means God overlooks what you've done. It's bigger than that. Grace is God moving toward you first, saving you by faith alone, and then giving you the power to actually become someone new.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Titus 2:11–12
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
