Holiness

Set apart for God, not just cleaned up — a gradual transformation that makes real closeness with Him possible

Introduction

Is holiness about following more rules, or becoming someone genuinely different? Holiness means being set apart — distinct, belonging to God in a way the rest of the world doesn't.

It starts with who God is, not with your own effort. He is holy first, and He invites you to actually become like Him, one real step of transformation at a time.

Scripture

1 Peter 1:15–16

As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Isaiah 6:3

Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Hebrews 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18

We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Translation note: Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (KJV). The King James Version is in the public domain.
