Redemption
You weren't just forgiven from a distance — you were bought back, at a real cost, and reclaimed as God's own
Introduction
What would someone have to pay to buy you out of a debt you could never repay yourself? Redemption means being bought back — rescued out of exactly that kind of debt, or slavery, at a real cost to someone else.
In Scripture, that someone is Jesus. He didn't forgive a debt from a distance. He paid it in full, with His own life, so you could be set free and belong to Him.
