Why the people with the least in Scripture are so often the most generous
Introduction
Almost nobody thinks they have enough. The number that would finally feel like security tends to move just as fast as we approach it.
Scripture treats contentment not as a personality trait some people are lucky enough to have, but as something learned — and it links it directly to open hands.

1 Timothy 6:6–8
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
2 Corinthians 9:7–8
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
