Ten miracles Jesus performed — and what each one reveals about who He is
Jesus performed dozens of miracles, but John's Gospel calls them something more precise: signs — proof that points past itself to something true.
These ten climb in scope, from healing what's broken in the body, to commanding creation, to raising the dead. Read together, they're not ten separate wonders. They're ten answers to one question: who is Jesus?
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
